Just two hours after completing the Modern Patrol Methods & Law Enforcement Applications training, an officer put the techniques learned into immediate action. While on patrol, the officer identified a vehicle in a shopping center parking lot exhibiting suspicious behavior consistent with topics covered in the class. Acting confidently, the officer initiated a stop.

As the officer requested identification, the driver fled the scene. A prompt broadcast of the vehicle’s description led to it being located in a neighboring town. With the help of body camera footage and investigative tools, the suspect was identified, apprehended the next day, and formally charged.
